Ethical challenges in disability representation often arise in difficult client relationships, strategic disagreements, and questions about professional responsibility. This session examines real-world ethical dilemmas faced by Social Security representatives and explores how emerging technologies like artificial intelligence impact professional obligations. Participants will gain a practical framework for analyzing and resolving complex ethical issues in their practice.

Ms. Reismeyer is a Clinical Professor and Director of the Community Law Clinic at Penn State Dickinson Law School.  She presents this year's ethics requirement which fulfills SSA's EDPNA 2026 requirement.
