2025 NADR Conference Recording:
A Guide to Making Migraine Cases Less of a Headache

Migraine and primary headache disorders are among the leading causes of disability worldwide, yet disability benefits for these conditions are frequently denied due to a lack of objective evidence and confusion around diagnosis and treatment. This course demystifies the process of effectively advocating for clients with disabling migraines and headaches under Social Security disability law. Participants will explore key aspects of SSR 19-4p, the criteria for medically determinable impairments (MDIs), and how to equate migraine conditions to SSA’s epilepsy listing. Real-life case law is integrated throughout to demonstrate successful arguments and common pitfalls in these cases.
